Position Overview
Immediate positions for certified structural welders in an established engineering fabrication workshop in South Brisbane (Rocklea). Candidates will read workshop blueprints, fabricate structural steel beams, and execute multi-pass welds to AS/NZS 1554 standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret workshop fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Set up, align, and tack steel components prior to full welding.
• Perform MIG / Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on carbon and mild steel plate.
• Inspect weld profiles and grind transitions to client specifications.

Skills & Experience Requirements
• Recognized trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade) or equivalent proven industrial experience.
• Sound knowledge of welding safety, grinding safety, and workshop lifting equipment.
• Ability to pass a visual weld test and fillet macro examination on-site.

Required Licences & Certifications
Certificate III in Engineering (Boilermaking / Welding) or recognized international equivalent.
